BOS Power has been selected by Connected Infrastructure Capital GmbH (CIC) to deliver a turnkey 25MW / 100MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) for the Sorø project in DK2, Denmark. The facility will play a key role in advancing Denmark’s energy transition, enhancing grid flexibility, and enabling efficient integration of renewable energy sources.
A flagship project supporting the green transition
As the system integrator, BOS Power will deliver a full EPC solution including battery system, energy management and control systems, transformers, switchgears, and complete engineering services. The project scope covers design, permitting, civil works, cabling, system integration, installation, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with Danish grid codes and international standards.
The Sorø BESS facility is planned to be operational in 2026, providing ancillary and frequency control services to Denmark’s transmission system operator. By stabilizing grid operations and balancing renewable generation, the system will contribute to Denmark’s goal of achieving a fully renewable energy system.

The Sorø BESS project will include a Silver Service Level Agreement, providing 24/7 remote support, preventive and corrective maintenance, continuous monitoring, and annual advisory services. Extensive warranties and capacity guarantees ensure lasting asset value and operational excellence.
