BOS Power Norway awarded contract for emergency power solution for the New Rikshospitalet

BOS Power Norway AS has been awarded the contract for the delivery of uninterruptible emergency power supply (DRUPS) to Nye Rikshospitalet in Oslo.

The delivery includes six 6 DRUPS systems of 2500 kVA each. The solution will ensure continuous and stable power supply to the new hospital, which is scheduled to open in 2031.

The new Rikshospitalet will be a modern and future-oriented hospital with combined regional and national functions, while providing local hospital services to around 200,000 inhabitants. The hospital will bring together all somatic pediatric treatment in Oslo in a new children's and adolescent center, and will be built with infrastructure and equipment designed for efficient diagnostics, patient treatment and handling of emergency situations and pandemics.

To meet these requirements, BOS Power will deliver a customized Diesel Rotary Uninterruptible Power Supply (DRUPS) solution, dimensioned to ensure uninterrupted operation in one of Norway's most important and advanced hospital projects.

"This contract represents an important strategic milestone for BOS Power. In recent years, the company has made targeted investments in expertise, engineering resources and delivery capacity in complex and critical emergency power solutions.

"The award confirms that our focus on DRUPS solutions and larger, technically demanding projects is correct, and strengthens the company's position in the upper segment of the market. The delivery is part of an extensive project for the hospital, with investments in the hundreds of millions, and emphasizes the importance of robust and future-oriented emergency power systems. We thank Helse Sør-Øst for their trust and look forward to a good cooperation with all parties involved, " says Arild Jensen, Sales Director at BOS Power Norway AS.
